So far, six cities have been identified as venues for the IPL. Under the changed circumstances, Kolkata, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Ahmedabad and Mumbai are being selected to host the IPL. However, the Maharashtra government has said that the match will have to be held at an empty stadium in Mumbai because of Corona. However, informed sources believe that 50 per cent visitors will be allowed to enter other cities.
The IPL is scheduled to start in the second week of April. The board will have to take a final decision on all the issues soon. However, if the match is played in Kolkata, KKR will be able to play league level matches at home.
